service or company and whenever someone uses your link to go and buy that product or use that service you are actually getting money for making that referral so how does affiliate marketing actually work and why would companies even be willing to pay for people just using your link to buy their thing so affiliate marketing usually works by giving you a unique link whenever someone clicks that link it will track that click for a certain amount of time and whenever that person goes and buys that product or service within that time period it's tracked back to you they know that you were the one that led them to that product or service so you get paid for leading people there but why so with traditional marketing and running ads when you think about this from the company's perspective if they're usually running ads on facebook or through google they are paying a lot of money up front to get their product in front of people who may not even be interested in it as just a funny example let's say that there is a dog toy company if they go and start from scratch running ads on facebook or google they may put their ads in front of a very wide range of people to actually find the people who are interested in their product so at the beginning their ads may be shown to people who have horses or cats or birds or hamsters and maybe some people who also have dogs even though a lot of those people that i mentioned wouldn't be interested in buying dog toys they still have to pay for the ads that are put in front of the people that have horses and birds and hamsters this most likely is going to be wasted ad money because those people are not going to be interested in buying a dog toy now let's say that that company sets up an affiliate program the people who are going to be promoting these dog toys are people who have instagram pages or blogs or websites that are already related to dogs they're essentially using that as a marketing strategy so that they don't have to go and spend money on ads that may be shown to people who aren't even interested they're willing to pay you a commission when people buy through your affiliate link because that is getting their product in front of a very targeted audience that is already interested in dogs and would be better candidates to actually buy their product let's say that you do decide that you want to start affiliate marketing the next question is how are you going to get paid so some of these companies are going to have their own affiliate dashboard set up and some of them will be through a larger affiliate network platform which we'll talk about a little bit later as far as the payout structure on the actual products or services that you are promoting there are three payout structures that are the most common among affiliates the first is pay per sale so this will usually mean that once someone has made a purchase you will get a percentage of whatever that item was worth the next is pay per lead how this usually works is once someone uses your affiliate link and is at the desired website they will then need to complete a certain action for you to be able to get paid sometimes this is signing up for a newsletter or signing up for a free trial or sometimes they'll need to use the service for a certain amount of days before you're actually paid and the third is pay per click and this is exactly what it sounds like you're getting paid for every time that someone on your link there are some affiliate programs that offer multiple of these and you can choose which structure you want or sometimes they offer a combination where maybe you'll get a percentage of the sale and you'll get a certain amount going forward for every month that a user continues using the service or something like that that's how you get paid but how much can you get paid with affiliate marketing so this is what makes affiliate marketing really nice is that there really isn't a cap on it a lot of it is going to depend on the size of your audience or the amount of traffic that you're getting and essentially the exposure that that affiliate link is getting so you may have an audience of 10 or an audience of 10 000 but either way you can start affiliate marketing some people make a hundred dollars a month off of affiliates and some people make a hundred thousand dollars a month off of affiliates it totally just depends on what you're promoting where you're promoting it and how large your audience is although there is a lot of potential money that can be made with affiliate marketing it is important to actually promote things that you would use yourself and don't be like weird or scammy about

how you are promoting it and i'll talk a little bit more about that later but essentially you want to be linking people to websites that you know are trustworthy that you would use yourself or that you already do use yourself as far as getting started with affiliate marketing and setting all of this up and the cost of that you can do this completely for free if you're promoting through your instagram page or twitter or any other free social media if you were starting a blog and you needed a domain name and website hosting or if you were going to try to start affiliate marketing through a youtube channel and you needed some basic equipment like some lights and a microphone you could get started with a couple hundred dollars and that should be more than enough to at least get you off the ground and running you really don't need a lot of money to start with affiliate marketing and like i said you can do it free if you are promoting stuff on your instagram page or tiktok or any other free form of social media a super common question with affiliate marketing is what are the most profitable niches because everyone wants to make the most amount of money that they can but what i would say here is don't necessarily chase after the highest dollar amounts go with companies and products that you know that you use like i already said it's better to promote things that maybe don't pay out a crazy crazy amount but are actually really good products and services that people will come back and continue using then promoting some scammy product or service that your audience is going to be upset about you don't want to lose your loyal audience members over a bad product that you didn't have to promote in the first place with that said as far as the products and services that do typically pay out the most you really have to think about what that end product or service is and kind of their profit margins on it some niches that are pretty well known for having good payouts are anything business related so think software anything subscription based or any services where you can go and hire people or buy projects from them and you can be strategic about how you do this so if you use a marketplace like fiverr that has a 500 plus services available when you direct people to that you can choose to use their hybrid plan where you would be making a 10 revenue share from any recurring purchases over 12 months also think anything service based so insurance any sort of tax or accounting or finance or even education sites there are a lot of educational products that do pay out pretty well as far as their affiliate programs go if you're more on the product side trying to get people to actually buy physical items think any luxury goods so a lot of times this is going to be cosmetics watches luxury handbags or any sort of luxury resellers once you've gone ahead and picked your niche you need to actually find your products so there are a few different ways that you can do this and they're all pretty easy the easiest i think is to google whatever you are thinking of or a product that you already use and put affiliate program or referral program after that in your google search and it'll most likely pull up that product's page or that company's page if they do in fact have an affiliate program another way that i've found to be pretty useful is to search for other websites or blogs in your niche and sometimes people will actually post their income reports or their online income reports and include the amounts that they made from their affiliates this isn't always divided out into how much they made from each specific affiliate but usually they will have a grand total and they will list the actual affiliates that they have even if they aren't allowed to put the specific amounts assuming that they are actually in the same niche as you you can go and look through the different affiliates that they have and see if any of those would be a good fit for your audience and lastly we have affiliate networks so these are websites that basically have a giant catalog of different affiliate programs that you can apply to once you're accepted into an affiliate program and you start using their links they'll usually have a dashboard where you can track all of your affiliates and how they're performing so now you have your niche you've found that product or services affiliate program but now you need to actually make the affiliate links so that you can use them on your website and properly track where you are getting the most clicks from i'm going to open up my fiverr affiliates dashboard and show you the best ways to actually set up these affiliate links but first i want to tell you more about the fiverr affiliate program if you haven't heard of fiverr it's an online marketplace where you can hire freelancers to do pretty much anything you want from logo design to video editing to translation fiverr has their own affiliate program with a flexible commission plan which just means that they offer different payout structures depending on whichever fiverr products or services you're actually choosing to promote when you're using fiverr affiliate links you can direct people to their home page to a

specific category of gigs to a specific gig or a specific seller and even to fiverr learn you get to choose your commission plan based off of the affiliate links that you choose to use so for every first-time buyer that you refer to fiverr with your link you can earn up to a hundred and fifty dollars cpa or up to a thousand dollars per purchase with the hybrid plan fiverr has a lot of different services that you can promote and they offer a lot of different options for how you canactually link to those services so you can really customize it to sign up for fiverr affiliates check out that link in  the description and fiverr is offering a hundred dollars in fiverr credits for the first five of you who sign up using that link and refer a first-time buyer so definitely check that out if you're interested in getting started with affiliate marketing so i'm gonna jump in to my fiverr affiliate dashboard and show you how to actually create these links so this is the fiverr affiliates dashboard pretty much any other affiliate program or affiliate network is going to have a dashboard of some sort where you go to make your links so this is going to essentially be the same across any dashboard but fiverr does have their setup really nicely so to make these links so i'm going to show you how to link to the fiverr homepage how to make a deep link or link to any other page other than the home page and how to track where your clicks are coming from so to do this we need to go over to marketing tools on that left sidebar and we're going to click on default and deep links this is where you're going to make all of your affiliate links so if we just want to link to the fiverr homepage we can use either of these two links now the fiverr cpa versus the fiverr hybrid link is going to determine how you're paid out so if you want to be paid out under their cpa structure you would use this link if you want to use their hybrid structure you can use this link if you want to use both of these links in different places on your website you can do that too and of course they have all of their other websites and programs that you can link to now if you plan on just putting a link to the home page on one of your social media accounts or in your bio what i would recommend doing is using this shortened url button this is going to make it much shorter and much more nice for your social media pages because oftentimes these long links won't even fit into your bio now let's say that you want to link to a page other than the home page first we're going to find the page that we actually want to link to so i'm going to open up fiverr's website and from here i'm going to select logo design i want to link to the logo design page so what i'm going to do is copy the url of this page from my browser once we have that copied we can go back to our affiliate link page and under this lpurl we're going to paste that link and you'll see once we do that it updates all of these links with that extra parameter at the end of it again if you're using this on a social media page i would highly recommend using a shortened url instead and once you have these links whenever someone uses this link it's going to take you straight to that fiverr logo page now let's say that you're putting the same link in multiple places and you want to be able to tell where you're actually getting your traffic from you want to know how many people are finding fiverr through your website versus finding it through your instagram page so what we need to do is go into this dynamic parameters tab and from here we can use this tracking code this lets you enter a code so that you know where clicks are coming from for example if we had a blog and we had an instagram page we could enter blog underscore page in here and that would add this to our links so that we know that anyone using this link is coming from our blog then we would make a different link for our instagram page so we would go back in here and put instagram page and this is the link that you would usethere this is especially helpful if you have links in a lot of different places

but you don't know how they are actually performing in addition to these text links you can also use their different widgets so from here you can get a nicevisual ad that people can click on to gig to gigs or where they can search for their own so those are great options for blogs and websites as well now you have your affiliate links but where are you going to get traffic from you need some eyeballs and some clicks on these links to actually make any money from it thereare two main sources of traffic that you can go after free traffic or paid traffic now free traffic is going to be a lot easier and come with a lot less complications than trying to implement paid traffic so free traffic is going to be people who are organically visiting your website or your social media pages or who watch your videos or read your blog anyways for paid traffic there is a whole rabbit hole of how-to videos and articles on how to do this effectively with affiliate marketing but i would highly recommend staying away from paid traffic when you are starting with affiliate marketing the main reason being that more often than not especially with beginners is that you are potentially going to cause issues with the companies that you are actually partnering with for these affiliate programs and or breaking your contract or their requirements to actually be in the program so when you sign up for an affiliate program you always want to actually read through that contract that they give you and read through the requirements before you actually apply to it more often than not they are not going to allow you to directly run ads for their product using their affiliate link so let's say that you are justin bieber and you are promoting amazon you are not allowed to go onto facebook and to buy ads directing people to amazon.com justin bieber or whatever your link is you can't do that because then your ads are competing with that company's ads there are ways to get legitimate paid traffic for example if you are running ads for your niche blog as a whole and there are other ways to do it as well but again that requires a lot of research and you want to make 100 sure that if you go down that route that you are not breaking any of the terms of your affiliate agreements assuming that you go the free traffic route how is the best way to actually get traffic like websites can be super effective for affiliate marketing whether that is putting out lists of products and services that you use the most often whether you are doing reviews on them or directing people to particular services and products in a how-to article those are just a few examples but a lot of people use blogs and websites super effectively for affiliate marketing the next easiest i would say would be youtube or just making those links for your instagram or tick tock pages and another idea is to actually set up an email list again you want to make sure that the affiliates that you are partnering with do actually allow email marketing if it is allowed then that is a great way to start monetizing an email newsletter now i'll show you how to include affiliate links in your website or blog posts as well as an easy way to promote multiple affiliates if you are doing it through a single link like on your instagram or your tick tock page okay so let's look at how we would put these affiliate links into a website page or a blog post so i have wordpress open but you can use any blogging platform it's going to essentially work the same way so we're going to make our article title which i'll just say fiverr affiliates now let's say that we want to use two of our different affiliate links we're going to start typing our article out and maybe we just start by explaining

what fiverr is obviously if you were writing a review or a how-to article you would have a lot more than one sentence but once you have your content you could highlight the parts that you want to be affiliate links so for example maybe we just want this fiverr word to link to the fiverr homepage so what we're going to do is go back to our affiliate dashboard we'll copy whichever fiber link we want to use so i'll use this one we're going to copythat go back to wordpress and then we're going to click on this link button from here you'll be able to paste in that affiliate link and you'll be able to choose if you want that link to open up in a new tab once you press enter that becomes a link now let's say that we want this logo design to link to the logo design page again we're going to go back to our fiverr affiliate dashboard we're going to make a link for that logo page and then we can copy this new link and make logo design link to that now we can preview our article and when someone clicks this first link it will go to the fiverr home page and when someone clicks that logo design link it will lead them to the logo design page that is how you implement those affiliate links on your website if you're trying to lead people to multiple affiliate links from your social media pages you'll have to set up a page that contains all of those links because usually things like instagram and tick tock only allow you to have one link in your bio so the easiest way to do this is to use something like linktree or there are a few other services that are like this as well you could even build something like this on your own website that way you have all of your links in one place so once you make your account you'll need to click this add new link button this will let you add a title for whatever you want your link to actually  say and then this url is where you would actually enter the affiliate link so for this let's say try fiverr now and for the url we're going to go and get that home page link again and paste it in there and now we'll make another link and for this one we'll put get a logo made and we'll go and paste in that url that directs people to the logo page now we have a nice setup for having multiple affiliate links on one page and if you're putting this in your instagram or your tick tock bio now you can just use this one link that will take them to this page of all of your affiliates and remember if you're interested in getting started with affiliate marketing do check out that sign up for fiverr affiliates the first five of you who sign up using that link and refer a first-time buyer will get a hundred.
